Actors Jang Dong-yun (34) and Kim Seung-yoon (29) are getting married.

On the 25th, a representative of Jang Dong-yun's agency BH Entertainment told StarNews that "Jang Dong-yun plans to hold a quiet ceremony with only family members in October."

Jang Dong-yun also shared the news directly by posting a handwritten letter on his SNS that day.

He said, "I will get married this October to someone I have been with for a long time," and added, "We plan to hold a quiet wedding ceremony with both families present."

He continued, "There were many thoughts and concerns leading up to the decision to marry. Spending so much time together allowed us to learn about each other's various sides, and as a result, we came to understand and cherish one another even more."

He then shared the background of his decision: "Now, we have decided to be on each other's side from the closest position and live happily and joyfully together."

He also added a message to fans who might be surprised by the sudden news. Jang Dong-yun said, "You may be surprised by this sudden news, but I would be grateful if you could watch over us with warm hearts."

Finally, he added, "I will strive to show good performances as an actor and live more maturely as a person. I am thankful for the constant support and love you have given me."

The two have been connected through various works. Kim Seung-yoon made her debut in KBS 2TV's drama 'Joseon Love Story: Nokdu', which starred Jang Dong-yun. However, the exact timing of their relationship has not been officially disclosed.

Since then, Kim Seung-yoon has built her filmography with roles in dramas such as 'Please Take Care of the Eagle Brothers!' and films directed by Hong Sang-soo, including 'The Necessity of Travelers' and 'In the Water'. In particular, following Jang Dong-yun's 2023 short film 'Be My Ears', she once again collaborated with him as the lead actress in his first feature-length directorial work, 'Nuruk', which was released last April.

Born in 1992, Jang Dong-yun first gained public attention when he was featured in news reports as a university student who apprehended a robber while studying at Hanyang University's Department of Economics and Finance. He later entered the acting profession after receiving an offer from his agency. Recently, he also announced that he had graduated from Hanyang University 15 years after enrolling.
