His performance drove record-breaking box office success.

According to ratings survey company Nielsen Korea, the final episode of 'Manager Kim' recorded a viewership rate of 23.4% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 23.0% nationwide. In particular, the peak viewership soared to 27.1%, breaking its own record for highest viewership and concluding with great success.

After the drama ended, So Ji-sub shared his unique thoughts when meeting reporters, saying, "It's no different that the first episode had high ratings; the sharply rising viewership was maintained, and there wasn't anything surprising about it at all. I really thought, 'What kind of surprise camera is this?'"
