As actor Kim Soo-hyun announces his glamorous comeback, heartwarming updates have been shared.

Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist shared on its official SNS on the 1st a video of an interview between Kim and Indonesia's private broadcaster RCTI+.

Kim appeared as a special guest at RCTI's 37th-anniversary live special "Mahakarya RCTI 37" held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the 23rd of last month. This marks his first official public appearance in approximately one year and five months, bringing joy to fans.

In the video, Kim Soo-hyun smiled brightly and stated, "I feel glad that I became an actor."

Additionally, introducing his cherished green jacket, he expressed deep affection for acting by saying, "Perhaps we should recommend a character that fans want to see this time."

Last year, Kim halted his activities amid allegations that he had been in a relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron since she was a minor. During this process, Kim Se-eui, CEO of the media company Gaseyeon (Gakse-ro), held a press conference on behalf of the deceased's family and released audio recordings allegedly of Kim Sae-ron and KakaoTalk conversations claimed to be between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron.

However, investigative authorities determined that the audio recordings released by Kim Se-eui were AI-generated fabricated files and that the alleged KakaoTalk exchanges between Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron were also manipulated. Subsequently, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office Women and Children Crime Investigation Division (led by Chief Prosecutor Park Ji-na) arrested and indicted Kim Se-eui on charges including violation of the Information and Communication Network Act (defamation), violation of the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Crimes (distribution of recordings made using cameras, etc.), and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act.

Having cleared his name after one year and five months, Kim Soo-hyun has resumed activities starting with overseas photo shoots and will now return to fans through the awards ceremony stage. He is scheduled to attend the "Asia Artist Awards 2026" (AAA 2026) in the actor category, held over two days on December 5th and 6th at the Kaohsiung National Stadium.

Kim Soo-hyun has established himself as a bankable actor both domestically and internationally through numerous hit works including dramas "Moon Embracing the Sun," "My Love from the Star," "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," "Queen of Tears," and the film "The Thieves."
