ZFN, the combat sports organization led by 'Korean Zombie' Jung Chan-sung, has expelled fighter Kim Jung-woo following an incident in which he caused a civilian to lose consciousness during an internet live broadcast.

ZFN stated on the 7th through an official position that "the athlete's controversial actions were clearly in violation of the conduct maintenance obligation stipulated in the contract, and we have decided to terminate the contract immediately." The organization also expressed its hope for the victim's recovery and conveyed its apologies to fans.

The incident occurred during an internet live broadcast held at an office apartment in Cheongna, Incheon. At the time, Kim Jung-woo attempted a 'guillotine choke' on a man in his 20s who was a civilian. Despite the victim tapping out to signal surrender, Kim did not release the hold, causing the victim to lose consciousness.

Kim is reported to have left the unconscious victim lying on the floor after he hit his head, making remarks such as "Let him sleep." The victim was later taken to a hospital for treatment and reportedly exhibited paralysis in parts of his body.

Police have filed charges against Kim Jung-woo for assault and are currently investigating the case, including whether those present at the scene aided or abetted the act.

Kim made his debut on the ZFN stage last month but was expelled from the organization just two weeks later, bringing him disgrace.
