Singer late Park Jung-woon has been gone for four years.

The 17th marks the fourth anniversary of Park Jung-woon's death. The deceased passed away at the age of 57 on September 17, 2022, at Seoul Asan Medical Center.

Park suffered from liver cirrhosis and diabetes during his lifetime. Despite poor health, he was hospitalized for liver surgery but ultimately did not recover.

Born in 1965, Park immigrated to the United States with his family as a child before returning to Korea to pursue his dream of becoming a singer. He made his debut in the music industry in 1989 with his first full album 'Who, Me?' and later formed the project group Oh-Jang-Park with Oh Seok-jun and Jang Pil-soon, gaining public recognition with the song 'If Tomorrow Comes'.

As a solo artist, he was active and received love from fans by releasing hit songs such as 'On a Night Like Tonight', 'In the Far Future', and 'Love Just for You'. Notably, he won the 10th Singer Award at the MBC 10th Singer Song Festival in 1992 and the Singer of the Year Award at the KBS Song Awards in 1992, 1993, and 1995.

However, after releasing his seventh full album in 2002, Park did not engage in much new song activity. In 2017, he appeared on KBS2's 'Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend' alongside Kim Min-woo. It was reported that at the time, Park had been undergoing hospital treatment to return to the stage. However, his health condition worsened, and he eventually passed away.

Park is survived by his wife, daughter, and son.
