Actress Son Ye-jin revealed an anecdote about bringing silkworms to a drama filming set and raising them herself.

On the 21st, the YouTube channel 'Life Plus TV' released a video titled "Scandal That Turned Joseon Upside Down! | LaflWeeekly HOT & NEW ep.29 - Scandal #Ahn Hyun-mo [PLUS]," featuring actors Ji Chang-wook, Son Ye-jin, and Nana sharing various stories.

In the video, Son Ye-jin recalled her experience encountering silkworms during the filming of the Netflix series "Scandal," saying, "They were so cute eating mulberry leaves. So I took a few with me."

When Ahn Hyun-mo asked, "Can you raise them at home?" Son Ye-jin replied, "Yes, we did." Upon being asked if they produced silk, she added, "They do produce silk. I even raised moths," drawing surprise from the audience.

Hearing this, Ji Chang-wook said, "I also saw it for the first time. This is truly the first time I've met someone who raised silkworms all the way to moths," eliciting laughter.

Explaining why she started raising silkworms, Son Ye-jin said, "Actually, I brought them to show my baby (my son), but it was so fun. So I asked, 'Can I have some?' and took the silkworms along with mulberry leaves."

Son Ye-jin's unique experience of encountering silkworms at a filming set—something rarely seen—and then raising them at home has drawn significant interest.

Meanwhile, Son Ye-jin played the role of Lady Jo in the Netflix series "Scandal," which was released on the 18th. "Scandal" is a story set in the Joseon Dynasty, depicting the dangerous love game between Lady Jo and Jo Won (played by Ji Chang-wook).
