Actress Hwang Jung-eum has confessed that she underwent breast surgery in the past.

On the 23rd, Hwang Jung-eum uploaded a video titled "The Day I Shopped for Underwear at Namdaemun" on her YouTube channel 'Hwang Jung-eum'.

In the video, Hwang Jung-eum visited Namdaemun Market to go shopping.

Hwang Jung-eum said, "When I was young, I wanted to look more glamorous, so I wore large cups back then. Breast surgery became trendy in 2010, and I went secretly without telling anyone—not even my family—and had the surgery done while filming 'Giant'."

She continued, "The downside was that I gained weight and my blood circulation didn't improve, so I ate too much to recover. My mom forced me to eat, and I gained a lot of weight, feeling thick and heavy. As a result, my back eventually curved. In the end, I had surgery to remove the implants. Nowadays, not having surgery is the trend, so I also had mine removed. My body feels so much better now. I don't even know why I did it in the first place."

Hwang Jung-eum added, "My parents gave me a great body naturally, so there was no need for surgery, but I wasted money and ruined it all. Now I'm spending more money to recover. Natural is always best. All I need to do now is diet."

Meanwhile, when a staff member mentioned that there are places famous for underwear, Hwang Jung-eum replied, "Actually, I think shopping for underwear is a waste of money. I never wear bras in daily life; I only use nipple patches."

She explained, "That day was for broadcasting, so I wore a bra with lace but no cups. Fortunately, the straps came out from behind, which was a huge relief. Today is my no-bra day. What you see isn't everything."

Recently, Hwang Jung-eum also drew attention over the no-bra issue while filming YouTube content. In a YouTube video released last August, she appeared in a sleeveless outfit meeting actors Bae Soobin and Kim Ji-young, sparking speculation from some quarters that she was not wearing a bra.

Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married former professional golfer Lee Young-don in 2016 and has two sons. The couple filed for divorce mediation at the court in September 2020, four years into their marriage, but reconciled in July 2021. However, it was revealed in February 2024, three years after their reconciliation, that they had filed for divorce.
