Actor Kim Woo-bin has transformed into a baseball coach.

On the 2nd, photos of Kim Woo-bin from tvN’s new weekend drama “Gift” (directed by Kim Gyu-tae and Ham Seung-hoon; written by Min Jeong, Hae Ju, and Sung Eun; produced by Studio Dragon, B4M Studio, GTST, Studio Double M, and AM Entertainment) were released.

“Gift” is a drama depicting the story of a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains special abilities after an unexpected accident and takes on the role of coach for a high school baseball team that ranks last in the nation. As a growth sports drama that endlessly questions while searching for answers between talent and effort, it is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by writer Jeong I-ri-i-ri, currently serialized on Kakao Webtoon.

“Gift” draws attention as a new transformation for Kim Woo-bin, who has demonstrated a wide acting spectrum in each of his works. In the drama, Kim Woo-bin plays “Jung Min-yong,” the baseball coach at Deokcheon High School with a background as a professional baseball coach, showcasing a different side than before.

Jung Min-yong is a character who coldly judges players’ talent and limits. While he once believed in effort and process, after going through a series of events, he begins to believe in visible “talent.” It remains to be seen what color Kim Woo-bin will bring to the complex inner world of the changed Jung Min-yong.

The released stills capture Kim Woo-bin transformed into the baseball coach at Deokcheon High School. Jung Min-yong, caught in a setting other than the baseball field, displays sharp eyes and a heavy expression. He reveals a distinct presence even in casual attire.

Standing among the players of the Deokcheon High School baseball team, Jung Min-yong wears the team jumper and cap properly, revealing an intense coaching presence. His cold charisma is felt as he gazes at the ground wearing sunglasses, while his sincere dedication to baseball can be glimpsed as he stands on the field with a bat alongside the players.

From deep eyes to cold charisma, Kim Woo-bin reveals the diverse facets of Jung Min-yong through stills alone, building anticipation for yet another acting transformation.

Meanwhile, tvN’s new weekend drama “Gift” will air its first episode at 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2026.
