Kim Yu-rim, born in 1991 and currently 35 years old by Korean age reckoning, will compete in the world-renowned beauty pageant Miss Universe as South Korea's representative.

According to Miss Universe Korea, Kim will participate in the 75th Miss Universe World Pageant, scheduled to be held in Puerto Rico in November.

A graduate of the Department of Performing Arts at Seoul National University, she has worked as a choreographer and actress, and was previously selected as the winner of "Miss Universe Korea 2026."

Kim Yu-rim's participation in Miss Universe carries particular significance. In September 2023, the Miss Universe Organization abruptly abolished the previous age limit of "18 to 28 years old," applying a new rule globally starting with the 2024 competition that allows any adult woman aged 18 or older to compete without an upper age limit.

Additionally, starting in 2023, eligibility requirements were relaxed to allow married women, divorced women, and women with children (including pregnant women) to participate, expanding beyond the previous restriction to unmarried women only. The height requirement that had been included in past regulations was also abolished.
