YouTuber Oliver-saem (real name Oliver Shan Grant) announced his hiatus from YouTube, citing symptoms of emotional burnout.

On the 8th, Oliver-saem stated through his YouTube channel, "It has already been 10 years since I started my YouTube channel. Over the past decade, our family has enjoyed happiness beyond measure thanks to your warm love, but recently we have faced significant changes and difficulties, including the sudden departure of my father and a cross-continental move spanning more than 1,600 kilometers."

He added, "Even through that process, we believed that with effort, love, and passion, we could overcome everything. It seems our belief that we had overcome it all was driven by greed and overconfidence. While running breathlessly with our eyes fixed only on the future, the wounds and fatigue accumulated deep in the hearts of my wife, children, and myself were far deeper and heavier than I had imagined."

He continued, "My body and mind have been under strain. In fact, I reached a state of emotional burnout where it felt as though my brain and mind had completely stopped, making it difficult to carry out everyday thoughts and video production normally. Recently, a specialist advised me that 'it is absolutely necessary to suspend all work for the time being and undergo at least six months of sufficient treatment and rest.'"

Oliver-saem declared his pause in YouTube activities, stating, "This kind of long-term break is the first for our family in the past 10 years, so my heart feels heavy and fearful. However, I have concluded that rather than forcing myself to endure it now, firmly repairing the cracked vessel of my heart is the most appropriate and courteous path for both our family and you all in the long run."

He further promised a future return, saying, "For the time being, I will devote all my strength solely to caring for and healing our family's wounds. I would be grateful if you could wait with a warm gaze so that we can return in a stronger and healthier state."

Meanwhile, Oliver-saem, an American of German descent, began his YouTube activities in 2015. The following year, he married his Korean wife, and the couple has two daughters.
