Actor Kim Soo-ro took the stage with a bold short haircut. Kim expressed his emotion as the first major theater production by Double K, the performance production company he leads, got underway.

A press call event for the musical "Majesty" was held at NOL Theater Our Card Hall in Dongseong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 30th in the afternoon. Actors Uhm Ki-joon, Park Jae-yoon, Park Jung-won, Kim Woo-seok, and Kim Soo-ro attended the event.

Before the press call that day, Kim Soo-ro took the stage first.

Kim greeted the audience by saying, "I am actor Kim Soo-ro, who produced and is starring in 'Majesty,'" and added, "I mainly appear in Act 2, but today's press call performance focuses on Act 1. Kang Seong-jin, who performs with me in Act 2, is a full-time professor at Chung-Ang University and could not join us here due to Chung-Ang University entrance exams. I will be appearing in Act 2."

Kim stated, "Double K is staging its first major theater production in 10 years. It feels nostalgic. Please give us your support," showing his emotion over the first major theater production by Double K Entertainment, where he serves as CEO.

The musical "Majesty" is an original work inspired by Joshua Abraham Norton, a real historical figure who declared himself "Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico" in 19th-century San Francisco, USA. In today's world, where fake news and language of hatred amplify conflict, and politics that exploit fear builds new walls between people, this work revisits the life of Norton I, who gained the trust of citizens without power or institutional status. It interprets his eccentric behavior not as a mere anecdote about an oddball, but as the courage of one individual who listened to the voices of those ignored by society and tried to build bridges between people. By adding fictional characters and events on top of historical facts, the work asks what we should choose between truth and falsehood, and hatred and solidarity.

Meanwhile, the musical "Majesty" opened on the 25th and will run until November 15 at NOL Theater Daehak-ro Our Card Hall.
