Junior comedians made a full appearance on the stage prepared to mark the first anniversary of the death of the late comedian Jeon Yu-seong. In particular, Kim Shin-young, who boasts a special bond with Jeon Yu-seong, took the stage herself.

The episode of KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs” airing on the 7th will be dedicated to the first anniversary of Jeon Yu-seong’s passing, featuring a special titled “Jeon Yu-seong Without Jeon Yu-seong.”

In this special, junior comedians from the three major broadcasters—KBS, MBC, and SBS—as well as colleagues who shared a unique connection with the late Jeon Yu-seong in the broadcasting industry will take the stage to remember him. Carrying forward the late comedian’s philosophy of humor, which he never lost even until his final moments, they will fill the void left by his departure not with sorrow, but with a stage of laughter and moving emotion.

The “Jeon Yu-seong Without Jeon Yu-seong” special boasts a star-studded lineup. Yang Hee-eun, a long-time friend of the late Jeon Yu-seong; Kwon In-ha, known as the “Thunder Tiger” for her explosive vocal power; and Han Young-ae, the queen of Korean blues, will visit “Immortal Songs” for this special. Illusionist Lee Eun-gyeol, whom the late Jeon Yu-seong supported, is also preparing a dazzling magic performance.

The “2026 Bongsungah Academy,” presented by legendary comedians from the three major broadcasters coming together as one, is expected to be the highlight of the “Jeon Yu-seong Without Jeon Yu-seong” special. The lineup includes Kim Jung-ryeol, a representative slapstick comedian in South Korea; Lee Kyung-shil, the original “sharp-tongued older sister”; Jo Hye-ryeon, a passionate comedian; Park Jun-hyung, known as “Galgag-i”; the gag trio Joltan (Lee Jae-hyung & Han Hyun-min & Jung Jin-uk); and Ahn Young-mi, an icon of transformation. Representing “Gag Concert,” Song Pil-geun, Park Eun-young, Shin Yun-seung, Jo Su-yeon, Hong Hyeon-ho, Na Hyun-young, and Kim Ga-eun will present a special stage. In particular, the trailer revealed at the end of last week’s broadcast sparked buzz with its depiction of Lee Kyung-shil, Jo Hye-ryeon, and Ahn Young-mi transformed into “Gollum” characters. This will lead to the debut of the legendary segment “Teacher Kang in the Dressing Room,” featuring a gathering of senior and junior “Gollums” for the first time on air.

Alongside this, Kim Shin-young, a long-time disciple of the late Jeon Yu-seong who stayed by his side until his final moments and shared a deep friendship with him, is set to play an active role as the special MC. In addition to serving as the special MC for the “Jeon Yu-seong Without Jeon Yu-seong” special, Kim Shin-young will deliver an energetic performance through her character “Second Aunt Kim Dabi,” and showcase different charms by performing the nostalgic segment “Hey, Boss” in the “2026 Bongsungah Academy.”

“Immortal Songs” MCs Shin Dong-yeop, Kim Jun-hyun, and Lee Chan-won are also expected to bring big laughs by transforming into unique characters in the “2026 Bongsungah Academy.”
