Webtoon artist and broadcaster Kian84 recently made remarks that appeared to acknowledge the recent hygiene controversy.

On the 5th, a video titled "Daily Life 2: Filmed and Edited Alone" was uploaded to Kian84's YouTube channel, "Insaeng 84."

The video featured glimpses of Kian84's daily routine.

After undressing in the bathroom, Kian84 said, "I'm going to take a shower now," adding, "I've been scolded quite a bit lately for not changing my underwear."

He then emphasized, "Actually, I'm not that dirty."

Kian84 also stated, "I use a filter faucet even when I shower and wash my face at home," while showing himself brushing his teeth and lathering his hair with plenty of foam.

Previously, Kian84 became embroiled in a hygiene controversy after appearing on Season 2 of the Netflix guesthouse variety show "Kian's Bizarre B&B," which was released last month, where he was seen not changing his underwear for more than three days.

At the time, former volleyball player Kim Yeon-kyung, who appeared alongside him, mentioned an incident in which Kian84 passed gas in front of a group of people, revealing, "He had already been wearing the same underwear for three days by then. I checked." She further pointed out Kian84's hygiene habits, saying, "I wondered why he would lie on the bed and rest his head on a pillow while sweating."

In response, Kian84 said, "When I was in the military, they kept telling me to wash up, so it's not entirely untrue that I developed an aversion to washing after entering society," adding, "I developed a sense of resistance because of officers like you."

However, controversy surrounding Kian84's hygiene standards continued even after the broadcast was released. Critics pointed out that behaviors such as lying on the bed while sweating or not changing his underwear for several days did not meet the basic cleanliness standards expected in a cohabitation variety show.
