Actor Lee Chang-hoon directly clarified a past scandal involving Song Hye-kyo.

Lee appeared in a video titled "Is this why a 17-year younger woman fell for him? Lee Chang-hoon's irresistible charm," released on the YouTube channel 'Yoo Jung and Joo Jung' on the 6th, where he spoke with Yoo Jung.

In the video, Lee mentioned the scandal issue when asked about Song Hye-kyo.

Lee had been embroiled in dating rumors with Song Hye-kyo, whom he co-starred with in the SBS sitcom 'Good Hebbin' Family.'

Lee said, "The scandal was not true. I had a girlfriend at the time, and Song Hye-kyo also had a boyfriend." He added, "Hye-kyo felt like a younger sister from church. She was a younger sister I wanted to protect; there were no romantic feelings."

He continued, "In the sitcom, they included a storyline where Hye-kyo has a one-sided crush on me. After that, there was an uproar with people saying 'I hope the two of you get together,' and reporters told me, 'You look so good together. Why can't you date?'" He stated, "I was in my mid-30s, and Hye-kyo was 20 years old. I called the reporters and got angry at them for saying such nonsense like an older-younger relationship. I even used profanity."

He added, "I told them it's not about what is legally allowed; it has to be right. Hye-kyo is a young sister with a future whom I cherish, yet they forcibly linked us as lovers." He noted, "However, since (Song Hye-kyo) became a world star, she used to say the scandal was untrue, but these days when asked 'Did you perhaps date?', she says 'Think for yourself.'"
