YouTuber Park Wi continues to lose subscribers. Following the controversy that recently erupted, after the milestone of 1 million was broken, the number of subscribers has continued to decline.

As of 11 a.m. on the 7th, the subscriber count for Park Wi's YouTube channel 'Wi Miracle' stands at approximately 950,000.

After dropping to about 960,000 at the end of last month, it decreased again within a week. Compared to the period before the controversy when it exceeded 1 million subscribers, this represents a loss of more than 50,000 subscribers.

The decline in Park Wi's subscribers began after the controversy that erupted last month.

On the 14th of last month, Park Wi suffered an accident while disembarking from a KTX train in a wheelchair, tripping over the foot of a social service officer. Subsequently, on the 21st, he released footage containing CCTV from the time of the incident on his YouTube channel.

In that video, Park Wi showed the scene of the accident and explained it was to prevent recurrence; however, criticism continued that releasing the footage to the public was excessive given that the social service officer had admitted to a mistake at the scene and apologized. Voices were also raised expressing concern over the possibility of the social service officer's identity being revealed.

As the controversy grew, Park Wi deleted the problematic video and issued an apology. He subsequently voluntarily resigned from his position as Seoul City's promotional ambassador.

Although Park Wi took measures including a formal apology, deletion of the video, and resignation from the ambassador role, the exodus of subscribers has not stopped. The subscriber count for 'Wi Miracle', which had once exceeded 1 million, has fallen to 950,000, indicating that the long-term fallout from the controversy is persisting.

Meanwhile, Park Wi was diagnosed with quadriplegia following a fall accident in 2014 but regained upper body movement through rehabilitation. He married Song Ji-eun, formerly of the group SECRET, in October 2024.
