Super Junior��s Kibum is cast in a lead role in a Chinese drama series

On December 6, SM Entertainment, Kibum’s agency, reported that Kibum was recently cast in a lead role in the new Chinese action drama series Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. Kibum plays the role of a prince who is kind and humble in the series.

The prince escapes from the palace in order to avoid learning martial arts that can kill others. However, he learns martial arts by chance and becomes a master of martial arts.

Kibum says, “I’m so honored to be part of a great drama series and play a nice role. It’s the first time for me to appear in a Chinese drama series, but I’m doing my best to portray my character perfectly through many times of conversation with the director.”

Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils is written based on a martial arts novel of the same title. It’s about people with distinctive personalities trying to save their martial arts. The series will start airing in China at the end of next year.

The series is directed by Yan Jianmei and also stars Wallace Chung and Zhang Meng.
