SS501′s Park Jung Min, who was very popular as an idol, is ready to become a musician. He is also ready to capture Asia as a Hallyu star.

He released his new EP Beautiful in Korea for the first time in twenty-two years. He produced his own EP for the first time because he wanted to be recognized as an artist rather than as an idol singer. He said, “I was worried about what the audience would think about my music but I also had great expectations.”

He added, “I wanted to show my real self to the fans. I’m thankful to be a member of SS501 but I’m trying to stand on my own feet. Please watch me as I become a musician.”

The concept for his music is based on a band. Refined acid pop song “Beautiful” and his other song, including acoustic sounds are very different from his old music that he performed when he was a member of SS501.

Since he is keeping busy in Asia, he tries to change his performance for each country. He showed off his bubbly appeal in China but he showed off his kind appeal in Korea. He likes to meet with his Japanese fans for a more specific plan.

He will hold a concert in Japan next year with two more concepts. “I’ve never had this kind of plan before. My fans are enjoying my two different appeals. It also made me broaden my music field.”

His overseas debut was a huge success. He ranked high on the Japanese Oricon chart and he will shoot a movie and TV series next year. His Taiwanese TV series also received positive results by receiving twenty percent of the audience rating.

Park is also planning to debut in Europe. He will hold his exclusive concert on December 18 and 19 in Tokyo, Japan and he will keep busy in Korea and overseas.

“I still remember when I first debuted but next year is my tenth anniversary. I want to become a senior singer that other people will be proud of,” he said.
