Song Joong Ki is Koreas top actor of 2012

Actor Song Joong Ki has been voted Korea’s best actor of 2012. Gallup Korea did a survey from November 15 through the 30th asking 1,700 people over the age of thirteen who they thought Korea’s best actor of the year was. According to a December 24 announcement by Gallup, Song ranked first, with 18.2 percent of the votes.


Song played the role of Kang Ma Roo on KBS’s series An Innocent Man and received many favorable reviews. He also drew a lot of attention by appearing in the movie A Werewolf Boy.


Kim Nam Joo and Yoo Jun Sang of popular series My Husband Got A Family ranked second and third with 12.9 percent and 9.5 percent of the votes.


Kim Soo Hyun of the MBC series The Moon Embracing The Sun ranked fourth with 8.2 percent of the votes, and Jang Dong Gun of SBS’s A Gentleman’s Dignity ranked fifth with 8.1 percent of the votes.


The 1,700 people surveyed were from all over the nation except Jeju Island. The margin of error was plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.
