Psy was recently selected as one of the Most Intriguing People of 2012 by CNN, a news station in the U.S.

On December 24 (local time), CNN released the result of its online vote.

The U.S. President Barack Obama was selected as the Most Intriguing Person of 2012, Malala Yousafzai, a student and an education activist from Pakistan ranked second, and Gabby Douglas, a female gymnast and an Olympic gold medal winner, ranked third.

David Petraeus, a retired director of the Central Intelligence Agency, ranked sixth, and Mitt Romney, a former nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election, ranked seventh.

Kim Jung Eun, the leader of North Korea, was also listed on the chart but wasn’t one of the top ten.

Psy ranked eighth in the survey. The music video of his song, “Gangnam Style,” received over a billion hits on YouTube on December 22.

Psy will perform on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve 2013, which will be held at the Time Square in New York on December 31.
