Kep1er, a girl group, will disband in July without extending their activities. After a journey of 2 years and 6 months, the members (Choi Yoojin, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Hikaru, Huning Bahiye, Seo Young-eun, and Kang Ye-seo) will return to their respective agencies. Before ending their activities, they plan to release an album and hold one final performance to bid farewell to their fans. Kep1er, a multinational 9-member project girl group born through Mnet's "Girls Planet 999: Girls Daejeon" in October 2021, debuted in the K-pop market with their first mini-album "FIRST IMPACT" in January 2022. Since they debuted for a set period of 2 years and 6 months, their contract will expire in July 2024.

Despite their short duration, Kep1er has achieved remarkable success in the global music market, prompting discussions among all members' agencies last year about extending their project activities.

Wake One, Kep1er's agency, had previously stated that they would continue to discuss extending their activities mutually. If this had been finalized, it would have been the first case of contract extension among idol groups born from audition programs, which both Wake One and the members' agencies had viewed positively. However, unfortunately, Kep1er recently decided not to extend their activities ultimately.
