Tae-Yangs [RISE] Becomes First K-Pop Album to Receive Full Review by Billboard

America’s Billboard strongly praised Big Bang member ‘Tae-yang’ as they reviewed all songs of ‘Tae-yang’s album for the first time in K-pop album history.


 


In July 9th, Billboard told about ‘Tae-yang’s official 2nd album [RISE] “It’s the first K-pop album that got Billboard to review all tracks in it.”


 


Billboard praised “Through [RISE] ‘Tae-yang’ became a well accepted super star.” They also mentioned ‘Tae-yang’ recording 112th place in Billboard 200 chart which is the best record for Korean solo singer so far. In fact, they explained about the album ranked in 9th place of Billboard World Album Chart too.


 


Through the video interview with Billboard, ‘Tae-yang’ elaborated about introduction of [RISE]‘s all track songs, and the composing process of each songs as well. About the [intro], he told “Beginning with this song, we started to create the overall album. You can hear the grand sound during the music.” For title song [Eyes, Nose, Lips], he revealed “This is the last song we made and it can be said that the album was released because of this one song. I still remember me fluttering after it was made unexpectedly.”


 


He interviewed about song [1AM] “It’s a song with exciting beats that makes people dance. You can feel diverse emotions too with this music.” [STAY WITH ME], a song which gathered attention for collaborating with ‘G-dragon’, was introduced by saying “My musical color and GD’s musical color was combined.”
