The “Korean Wave” star ‘Jang Geun-Suk’ was chosen as the ambassador for the ’2014 China Korean Film Festival’, which will take place at Beijing.

‘Korean Film Council” announced today that ’2014 China Korean Film Festival’ will open at Beijing on August 27th, and that ‘Jang Geun-Suk’ and Chinese actor ‘Bai Bai He’ will be the ambassadors.

A biannual event that Korean and China host in turn from 2010, 10 Korean films are to be played this year. This year’s event was especially planned with the intention to celebrate the signing of ‘Korea-China Joint Movie Production Agreement’, and to introduce a wider variety of Korean movies to Chinese audiences.

The opening ceremony, which will take place at ‘CGV Indigo’ in Beijing, ‘Jang Geun-Suk’ and ‘Bai Bai He’ – a Chinese actor known to the Korean audience by ‘A Wedding Invitation’ – will show up to brighten up the ceremony.

Other guests at the opening ceremony will be director ‘Chang Gam-Dok’, the director of the opening movie [The Target], director ‘Kim Ji-Hoon’ from the movie [Tower], director ‘Han Dong-Wook’ from the movie [Man in Love], and director ‘Yoon Jong-Chan’ from the movie [My Paparotti].
