'Like Crazy' Acheive Platinum certification

BTS's Jimin's song 'Like Crazy' has achieved Platinum certification from Music Canada (formerly CRIA), marking a significant milestone as the first Korean solo song in the past decade to receive this distinction after the certification system was revised.

According to the announcement on Music Canada's website on January 11th, 'Like Crazy' by Jimin has surpassed sales of 80,000 units in Canada, earning it Platinum Single certification.

This achievement is noteworthy as the first Korean solo song in the past ten years to achieve Platinum status for a non-English language track, following the recent changes in certification criteria.

Music Canada, a non-profit organization representing companies involved in the recording, manufacturing, and distribution of music in Canada, determines certification levels such as Gold, Platinum, Multi-Platinum, Diamond based on a combination of digital and physical album sales and Track Equivalent (TEA) scores.

'Like Crazy' secured Gold certification in August of the previous year and achieved Platinum certification just five months later, showcasing its continued popularity in the Canadian market. Previously, the song attained Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in November, following the official submission by the agency in accordance with association regulations.
