YG Entertainment is collaborating with Japan's avex to hold a public audition, aiming to discover the next generation of rookies who will follow in the footsteps of BLACKPINK and Baby Monsters.
YG Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as YG) announced on the 13th that they will be conducting the 'YG x avex Audition 2024' in collaboration with avex in Japan. This joint audition, conducted by the two leading entertainment companies in Korea and Japan, marks the first collaboration in about 8 years since the 'YOUNGUNS AUDITION' in 2016.
YG and avex will hold a large-scale audition, spanning 10 rounds, in seven major cities in Japan including Sapporo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sendai, and Okinawa. Based on online video screening, on-site auditions will be conducted, followed by additional evaluations for selected applicants. This audition is open to anyone born between 2003 and 2013, regardless of gender or nationality. Applications can only be submitted online from the 13th to March 10th. YG Entertainment has been leading the K-pop craze in the global market, producing artists such as Big Bang, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, TREASURE, and recently, the successful debut of Baby Monsters, which has gained attention worldwide.
