AKMU is set to expand its global presence by participating in Japan's representative music festival, 'Summer Sonic 2024,' marking their first appearance at a Japanese festival.

On the 14th, AKMU's name was announced in the 2024 lineup revealed on the official website of 'Summer Sonic.' They are scheduled to perform at the Tokyo performance held at Chiba ZOZO Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe on August 17th. 'Summer Sonic' is a large-scale urban music festival in Japan, featuring not only top local artists but also musicians from around the world. As AKMU takes the stage at a Japanese festival for the first time, they are expected to heat up the atmosphere with even more passionate energy than usual.

AKMU, with their exceptional musical talent and unique sensibility, has firmly established themselves as "artists to trust," producing numerous hit songs. With their popularity firmly rooted in Korea, their expansion onto the world stage is anticipated to receive explosive responses.

Recently, AKMU successfully concluded a large-scale nationwide tour [AKMUTOPIA], spanning 17 performances in 10 cities. Fans are eager to see on which stage these irreplaceable live performances, their unique chemistry, and their seasoned ability to connect with the audience will captivate music fans once again.

Furthermore, AKMU has received love from listeners with their fourth single [Love Lee] released last year. The title track 'Love Lee' achieved over 126 "perfect all-kills" on major domestic music streaming platforms and topped the Melon Weekly Chart for the longest period in 2023. Additionally, to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary this year, they plan to meet fans through various projects and active engagements.
