With a hot local enthusiasm, the boy group BOYNEXTDOOR (BOYNEXTDOOR, Sung-ho, Ryu, Myung-jae Hyun, Tae-san, Han, and Woon-hak) showed significant growth in Japan, topping the Oricon weekly album chart.

According to Oricon on the 23rd, BOYNEXTDOOR's mini 2nd album 'HOW?' recorded sales of 77,000 copies in the latest weekly album ranking (as of April 29, calculated from April 15 to 21), securing the top spot. This is the first time BOYNEXTDOOR has claimed the top spot on this chart. Particularly, they achieved sales nearly twice as much as their previous work with Korean albums, even before their official debut in Japan. BOYNEXTDOOR's mini 1st album 'WHY..' sold about 40,000 copies in the first week of release in Japan (as of September 18, 2023).

BOYNEXTDOOR is setting their best records in various fields with this new release. 'HOW?' sold a total of 531,911 copies in the first week after release (according to Hanteo Chart/aggregate period April 15-21), becoming their first 'half-million seller'. The title track 'Earth, Wind & Fire' entered the Melon Top 100 for the first time since their debut, and its music video surpassed 40 million views on YouTube in just about 5 days since its release.

'HOW?' is an album that marks the climax of BOYNEXTDOOR's 'First Love Story Trilogy', which they have been working on since their debut single. From the excitement of the first date to the calm farewell, it contains stories that anyone who has experienced first love can empathize with.
