ILLIT's 'Magnetic' reaches 200 million streams on Spotify in record time

The girl group ILLIT (YoonA, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) has surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify with their song "Magnetic". According to Spotify on the 22nd (local time), the title track "Magnetic" from ILLIT's first mini-album 'SUPER REAL ME' reached a cumulative 200,123,933 plays as of the 21st. This milestone was achieved just 56 days after the song's release in March, and about a month after hitting 100 million streams.

This makes ILLIT the first K-pop girl group to reach 200 million streams with a debut song in the shortest period.

"Magnetic" has also demonstrated sustained popularity by being ranked for eight consecutive weeks on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global' and for seven consecutive weeks on the 'Weekly Top Songs USA'.

Previously, the song made history by entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart at 91st (as of April 20) and the UK Official Singles Top 100 chart at 80th (as of April 5), both records for a K-pop debut song. Additionally, 'SUPER REAL ME' debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at 93rd (as of May 11), a significant achievement given that ILLIT has not yet conducted any promotions or activities in the United States.
