JYP Entertainment announced that its rookie boy group, KickFlip, will be making a swift comeback with their 2nd mini album, ‘Kick Out, Flip Now!’ on May 26th.
Just four months after their debut, KickFlip – consisting of members Gyehun, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyun – will release their new mini album at 6 PM on May 26th. The group made a remarkable entrance into the music scene on January 20th with their 1st mini album ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ and its title track ‘Mama Said (What Do You Want to Become?)’, quickly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with. They achieved significant success, including winning two awards at a music show just 33 days after their debut, and their 1st mini album topped various weekly charts on Circle Chart, gaining attention from K-pop fans both domestically and internationally.
On May 2nd at midnight, JYP released the first teaser content – an album trailer video and a promotion scheduler – on the group’s official social media channels, signaling KickFlip’s comeback. The trailer video captivated viewers with KickFlip’s unique and free-spirited charm, resonating with the sentiments of Generation Z. Bold phrases like “Do you want to break free today?” and scenes depicting relatable everyday struggles – such as escaping from work, presentations, and hospitals – delivered a sense of catharsis. The video culminates with a liberating scene of the members racing across a bridge while shouting, “Let’s break free, let’s just break free!” conveying a feeling of exhilarating freedom.
Reflecting their ambition to overturn conventions and disrupt the status quo, the album title ‘Kick Out, Flip Now!’ embodies KickFlip’s determination to soar to even greater heights with their new album activities. According to the promotion scheduler, the tracklist, concept photos, track video, and music video teaser will be released sequentially leading up to the comeback on May 26th. A comeback showcase will also be held on the day of the album release at 8 PM, further igniting anticipation.
Meanwhile, KickFlip will release their 2nd mini album ‘Kick Out, Flip Now!’ at 6 PM on May 26th, solidifying their position as a rising force in K-pop.
