SEVENTEEN Named to Gold House’s ‘100 Most Influential Asians’ List

Group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) has been recognized for their significant influence in the United States.

SEVENTEEN was the only K-Pop group to be included in Gold House’s 2025 ‘A100’ list, announced on May 1st (local time). Gold House is a non-profit organization that supports Asian and Pacific Islander (API) cultural leaders, and annually releases the ‘A100’ list, recognizing 100 Asians who have had a significant impact on American culture and society. Notably, SEVENTEEN was listed alongside cultural and artistic luminaries such as legendary pop star Bruno Mars, world-renowned director Bong Joon-ho, and author Han Kang, the first Korean to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, demonstrating their high global standing.

Gold House described SEVENTEEN as a “K-Pop icon,” explaining that “they have led the music industry with their unique ‘self-produced’ system based on the interaction of distinct units (hip-hop team, performance team, vocal team).” They also stated, “Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, SEVENTEEN continues to reinvent themselves, constantly exceeding expectations on the foundation of unwavering ambition and an infinite musical spectrum.”

SEVENTEEN showcased remarkable activity in the global music market last year. Their best album ‘17 IS RIGHT HERE’ and mini album 12th EP ‘SPILL THE FEELS’ both ranked 5th on the main album chart of the US Billboard. They also held solo concerts in major stadiums in Asian cities including the US BMO Stadium, Korea, and Japan, attracting over 1.5 million viewers (combined online and offline) throughout the year. Based on this success, SEVENTEEN recorded the highest ranking among K-Pop artists, 3rd place, on the ‘2024 Global Artist Chart’ released by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). They also had the honor of winning awards at the ‘2024 Billboard Music Awards’ and ‘2024 MTV Video Music Awards,’ considered four of the major US music awards.

SEVENTEEN is expected to once again demonstrate their presence in the global music market with their 5th full album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY,’ scheduled for release on the 26th. The album title is a combination of ‘Birthday,’ meaning a birthday, and ‘Burst,’ meaning explosion, outburst, and beginning, embodying their determination to be reborn as a new SEVENTEEN.
