BTS's Jimin is gaining explosive popularity in Japan with his song "Who."
On April 30, Billboard Japan reported in an article titled "Jimin’s ‘Who’ Surpasses 100 Million Streams in Japan" that the title track "Who" from Jimin's second solo album MUSE has been a hit locally. According to the article, "Who" surpassed 100 million cumulative streams on the Billboard Japan charts and debuted at No. 20 on the July 31, 2024, Billboard Japan Streaming Songs chart. The song has continued charting since then, ranking at No. 84 on the most recent chart dated May 7, 2025, marking its 41st consecutive week on the chart.
Jimin’s second album MUSE, which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard Japan's Hot Albums chart, climbed five spots to No. 80 on the May 7 chart, achieving its 26th week on the chart. On the Artist 100 chart, where Jimin previously made history as the first foreign solo artist to rank No. 1, he rose four places this week to No. 84, marking his 53rd week on the chart and showcasing his enduring popularity in Japan.
Meanwhile, "Who" previously appeared on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart for a total of 33 weeks, setting a record for the longest-charting K-pop solo track. The song has also enjoyed a long-running success on the Japan Hot 100 chart, charting for 32 weeks and maintaining strong popularity.
