MEOVV Scores First Music Show Win with Pre-Release Track "HANDS UP" on 'M Countdown'

Rising girl group MEOVV (members: Suin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, Ella) has clinched their first-ever music show win, marking a major milestone in their career.

On the May 8 episode of Mnet’s M Countdown, MEOVV took first place on the weekly chart with their pre-release single “HANDS UP”, earning the coveted trophy for the second week of May.

“HANDS UP” is a Brazilian funk-inspired track that blends fast-paced, flashy rhythms with unique synth sounds. Upon release, the song drew widespread attention from global fans for its addictive melody and dynamic performance.

Celebrating their first music show win since debut, the members of MEOVV—also known by the Korean pronunciation “Miyao”—shared their reactions in a video message. Member Narin expressed her joy, saying, “It’s our first win since debut, and I’m so happy—it still feels unreal.”

Released on April 28, “HANDS UP” quickly soared to No. 1 on YouTube’s trending music videos chart and has since been making waves on major Korean streaming platforms. Following the release of their performance stages, the track began climbing domestic charts, earning spots on Melon’s daily and TOP 100 charts and signaling a strong upward trajectory.

MEOVV continues to promote “HANDS UP” actively and is set to release their debut EP “MY EYES OPEN VVIDE” on May 12. The EP will feature the title track “DROP TOP”, signaling a new chapter for the fast-rising group.
