BTS’s J-hope successfully concluded his solo world tour concert in Bangkok, receiving rave reviews from local media and enthusiastic support from fans.

J-hope held his solo world tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ concerts at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on May 10th and 11th. The enthusiasm from Bangkok fans was immense. Tickets for the Impact Arena, which can accommodate up to 12,000 people, sold out within an hour of the fan club pre-sale. Additionally, over 400 obstructed-view seats were opened the day before the concert and also sold out immediately, demonstrating his immense popularity.

During the concert, J-hope  shared, “The cheers from the fans when I first came to Thailand in 2013 were a shocking and fresh experience, and I truly felt the incredible energy of the fandom. Twelve years later, to return to Thailand and hear that this solo concert sold out in just one hour is amazing. I feel your passionate love now as I did then. I believe the only way to repay your love is through good songs and performances.”

j-hope’s Thai fan club created 14,000 flower fans and distributed them to the audience, creating a special event during the performance of “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel).” Thai ARMY also created hand signs with “I WANT MORE” written on them and distributed them to the audience during the performance of “MORE.” Dozens of fans volunteered to organize these events.

Other Thai ARMY members placed a large banner advertising the concert on the exterior wall of IEC Hall 8. Another group placed four large advertisements at bus stops near the concert venue. The advertisements featured photos from the world tour and J-hope’s signature phrase, “I’M YOUR HOPE, YOU ARE MY HOPE, I’M J-HOPE,” attracting attention. Another fan organized a cup sleeve event at a café in Bangkok to commemorate the concert.

However, fans once again voiced their complaints about “ARMY Time.” “ARMY Time” is a period before the encore performance when messages from fans are displayed on the screens. However, messages supporting Suga, a member who received a 15 million won fine for driving under the influence, were displayed. Fans protested, “For two hours, J-hope  gave his all in the performance, but content unrelated to him appeared on the screen. Please respect the artist and show proper etiquette,” and strongly protested to the stage director and Big Hit Music.

J-hope ’s world tour has been a massive success, with all 25 concerts sold out so far. This weekend, the 26th and 27th concerts will be held in Hong Kong.
