Group ILLIT (Yuna, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha) will be releasing a new album next month.
Their agency, BELIFT LAB, announced on May 19th via the global fan platform Weverse, "ILLIT will be releasing their 3rd mini album 'bomb' on June 16th." According to BELIFT LAB, 'bomb' tells the story of ILLIT expanding their world through interactions with 'you'. Following their debut song 'SUPER REAL ME' (Mini Album 1), which sang about 'real me', and 'I'LL LIKE YOU' (Mini Album 2), which honestly expressed the feelings of 'me' liking 'you', ILLIT will now begin to actively build a relationship with 'you'.
ILLIT made a significant impact on the global market immediately after their debut. Their debut song 'Magnetic' entered both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100 charts for the first time and fastest for a K-pop debut song, sweeping various global charts.
The title track from their 2nd mini album, 'Cherish (My Love)', also received a lot of love, and ILLIT achieved a total of 13 awards, including 7 rookie awards at major music awards in Korea, the US, and Japan. ILLIT’s success continues this year. 'Almond Chocolate', released in February as the theme song for a Japanese film, gained popularity and experienced a 'reverse run' on local music charts. 'Almond Chocolate' ranked 10th on the Japanese Oricon Chart's 'Weekly Streaming Ranking' (March 31st - April 6th). This is the highest ranking achieved by a K-pop girl group song released this year.
They are also preparing for their first fan concert. ILLIT will hold their fan concert '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN SEOUL' at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul on June 7th and 8th, meeting with fans. They proved their popularity by selling out all tickets for both shows during pre-sales.
Pre-orders for 'bomb' begin on May 19th at 11:00 AM KST.
