TWICE’s ‘TT’ Music Video Surpasses 700 Million Views, Marking the Group’s Second 700 Million-View MV
TWICE’s music video for ‘TT’ has surpassed 700 million views on YouTube.
The music video for ‘TT,’ the title track of their third mini-album ‘TWICEcoaster : LANE 1,’ released in October 2016, exceeded 700 million views around 2:45 PM KST on May 29th. JYP Entertainment celebrated the milestone by posting a congratulatory image on TWICE’s official social media channels, thanking fans worldwide for their unwavering support.
‘TT’ is a song that captures the feelings of a girl falling in love for the first time with trendy lyrics, showcasing TWICE’s unique and lovable charm. The ‘TT’ pose, which mimics tears with fingers, and the cute gestures in the ‘너무해 너무해’ (too much, too much) part of the song, became a viral sensation, garnering enthusiastic responses from fans both domestically and internationally.
With this achievement, TWICE now has two music videos that have surpassed 700 million views, following ‘What is Love?’ (the title track of their fifth mini-album). Furthermore, they have a total of 24 music videos – including 18 Korean tracks, 4 Japanese releases, and 2 English singles – that have reached the 100 million-view milestone. This is the highest number of music videos with over 100 million views held by any girl group worldwide, demonstrating TWICE’s immense global popularity.
Meanwhile, TWICE is set to release their new full-length album ‘THIS IS FOR’ on July 11th, marking their comeback after 3 years and 8 months. In addition to the album release, they will also headline ‘Lollapalooza Chicago’ on August 2nd (local time) at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, solidifying their status as ‘stadium artists.’
