Idol group Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) are accelerating the global success of their new song with an appearance on a popular American talk show.

Seventeen performed their 5th full album title track "THUNDER" on NBC’s "The Kelly Clarkson Show" broadcast on June 4th (local time). They made a strong impression on local viewers with a performance combining their unique energy and seasoned skill. The stage begins by showcasing a unique prop combining a public telephone and a defibrillator. This represents Seventeen’s determination to communicate with various people, share positive energy, and continue special challenges. Flashing lights and a three-dimensional choreography that matches the lyrics capture the eye, and the members’ shouts, which can only be heard live, complete the dynamic performance.

"The Kelly Clarkson Show" is a popular talk show that has won the prestigious Emmy Award three times. Show host and world-renowned singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson introduced Seventeen as a "K-Pop performance powerhouse," adding, "They have swept numerous awards worldwide over the past 10 years and hold the record for the best-selling album in K-Pop history."

Seventeen is achieving strong results on global charts with "THUNDER." The song has charted on the Billboard "Global 200" and "Global (excluding the US)" charts and entered the Billboard Japan Comprehensive Song Chart "Hot 100" at number 12. The members also topped the music show charts, winning first place on MBC M’s “Show! Champion” on June 4th with “THUNDER,” starting their trophy collection. The performance of their 5th full album "HAPPY BURSTDAY" is also remarkable. The album sold over 2.52 million copies during its first week (aggregation period: May 26th – June 1st), recording the highest first-week sales (album sales during the first week of release) among K-Pop albums released this year. It also topped the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking, Weekly Album Ranking, and Weekly Digital Album Ranking in Japan, demonstrating Seventeen’s high popularity in the country.
