BLACKPINK to Film New Music Video with Famous Overseas Director

The girl group BLACKPINK (Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, Jisoo) is signaling a comeback with the filming of a new music video.

YG Entertainment (hereinafter YG) announced on the 9th, "BLACKPINK began filming a new music video starting on the 6th." Previously, Yang Hyun-suk, YG's total producer, had announced, "I will soon announce news about BLACKPINK's new song."  The news of a new song release after 2 years and 8 months has focused the attention of music fans worldwide.

While the schedule, song title, and concept details are still veiled in secrecy, the start of music video filming suggests that BLACKPINK’s comeback is imminent. YG stated, “They are filming in Korea with a famous overseas director. This will create another iconic music video that encapsulates BLACKPINK’s identity and musical color.” They added, “As a collaboration befitting the status of BLACKPINK, who have established themselves as world-class artists, you can look forward to it.”

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will embark on a world tour starting with a performance in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province in July, encompassing a total of 16 cities and 31 performances. They plan to hold concerts in stadium-level venues in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
