"BTS RM & V Have Returned".. Borapurple ARMY Gathered in Chuncheon 

The fandom of the boy group BTS, known as ARMY, has gathered in Chuncheon.

BTS members RM and V will be holding a discharge ceremony at around 9 AM KST on June 10th in the Sinbuk-eup area of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, meeting with the press and ARMY.  Since early this morning, the area around Chuncheon has been filled with BTS’s official color, borapurple (a shade of purple). The event has drawn media from both domestic and international outlets, as well as ARMY members from around the globe, creating a bustling scene.

Fans have prepared large placards reading "RM, V Have Returned," "Your New Beginning," and "I'll Always Be With You," as well as wrapped buses, to welcome RM and V. RM and V are scheduled to complete their discharge reports at their respective units this morning and then exit the guard post. They enlisted as active duty soldiers in December 2023, serving in the 15th Division Military Band and the 2nd Corps Special Mission Police, respectively.

BTS’s agency, HYBE, is also celebrating the members’ discharge by wrapping the exterior walls of its headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with the BTS and ARMY logos and the message "WE ARE BACK." This is part of 'BTS FESTA,' a festival celebrating the group's debut anniversary on June 13th, and the wrapping will remain in place until June 29th.

In addition, offline events will be held at Halls 9 and 10 of KINTEX Hall 2 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on June 13th and 14th. A photo wall commemorating '2025 BTS FESTA' has been set up in Ilsan Lake Park, and banners have been hung at Ilsanseo-gu Office and Goyang Tourism Information Center, further building excitement for the upcoming events.

RM and V’s discharge will be followed by Jimin and Jungkook, who will complete their military service on June 11th. Suga, who began his alternative service as a social worker on September 22, 2023, will be discharged on June 21st.
