Enhypen Achieves 2.14 Million First-Week Sales… Ranks 2nd Among K-Pop Albums This Year [Official]

Idol group Enhypen’s 6th mini album ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ has recorded the second-highest first-week sales (album sales in the week following release) among K-Pop albums released this year.

According to Hanteo Chart on the 12th, Enhypen (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, and Ni-ki)’s ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ sold a total of 2,145,499 copies during the first week of release (aggregation period: June 5th ~ 11th).  This confirms Enhypen’s status as a true global top-tier group.  Only two artists have achieved ‘double million-seller’ status (over one million copies sold in the first week) this year, including Enhypen.

Enhypen demonstrated their powerful momentum with ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’. The album sold over 1.89 million copies on its release day (June 5th), setting a new personal best for first-day sales. It then topped the Hanteo daily chart for four consecutive days (June 5th ~ 8th).

‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’ also achieved career highs on Japanese charts. It topped the latest Oricon ‘Weekly Combined Album Ranking’ (June 16th issue / aggregation period: June 2nd ~ 8th), ‘Weekly Album Ranking’, and ‘Weekly Digital Album Ranking’.  Billboard Japan’s chart (June 11th date / aggregation period: June 2nd ~ 8th) saw it rank #1 in ‘Top Album Sales’.
