CRAVITY Expands Universe with 2nd Full Album Release After 5 Years

Boy group CRAVITY is expanding their universe with the release of their 2nd full album, marking a significant milestone after 5 years since their debut.

According to their agency, Starship Entertainment, CRAVITY (Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyunjun, Taeyoung, and Sungmin) will release their second full album, ‘Dare to Crave,’ through various online music sites at 6 PM KST on June 23rd, officially kicking off their comeback activities. ‘Dare to Crave’ translates to “dare to desire,” representing bold instincts. By confronting “desire” as a new stage in their ongoing youth narrative, CRAVITY reveals their hearts and continues their journey within a broader universe.

Having consistently challenged and grown through solid performances and teamwork since their debut in 2020, CRAVITY sings of their sincerity with ‘Dare to Crave,’ released approximately 3 years after their first full album. The album features a total of 12 tracks, including the title track ‘SET NET G0?!,’ as well as ‘On My Way,’ ‘Rendez-vous,’ ‘Straight Up To Heaven,’ ‘Stadium,’ ‘Marionette,’ ‘Underdog,’ and ‘Wish Upon A Star.’ All members participated in the songwriting, composition, and production of the tracks, and the album features unit songs for the first time, highlighting CRAVITY’s diverse colors.

Notably, through the title track ‘SET NET G0?!,’ CRAVITY solidifies their determination to “not stop” rather than simply “achieve.” The song features dreamy pluck synth sounds, powerful bass, and addictive vocal chops, expressing the energy and freedom of youth fearlessly overcoming uncertain and chaotic moments. With its rich sound, refreshing vocals from the members, and exhilarating performance, the song aims to dominate the summer music scene.

On June 22nd, CRAVITY released a Track Visualizer for their new album ‘Dare to Crave’ on their official SNS channels, further raising anticipation. The video showcased highlights from all the tracks along with artistic visuals, giving a glimpse into the album’s diversity. The variety of colors in the tracks and the members’ solid vocals demonstrated CRAVITY’s limitless musical spectrum.

This year marks CRAVITY’s 5th anniversary, and ahead of the album release, they underwent rebranding, introducing a new logo inspired by grapes and vines. The change in the group’s name, combining ‘CRAVE’ and ‘GRAVITY’ to form ‘CRAVITY,’ also garnered attention.

The new meaning of the group’s name conveys the message that “our desire is as strong as gravity.” And today, the shape of the “desire” that CRAVITY has been eager to reveal is finally unveiled.
