The music video for SEVENTEEN’s “MAESTRO” has surpassed 100 million views.
As of 9:00 AM on June 26th, the title track from SEVENTEEN’s (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) best album ‘17 IS RIGHT HERE,’ “MAESTRO,” exceeded 100 million views.
“MAESTRO” is a dance R&B track with an impressive piano sound, conveying the message of “Let’s gather our diverse selves, conduct our own world, and become the leaders.” The music video, which depicts who the true maestro is in a world where anything can be created with AI, maximizes the song’s grand atmosphere with SEVENTEEN’s unique charisma and energy.
The song topped major music sites such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs immediately after its release in April of last year, and charted on the Billboard ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global (excluding the US)’ for four consecutive weeks, gaining immense popularity both domestically and internationally. In April, it surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, becoming SEVENTEEN’s 14th song to achieve this milestone.
SEVENTEEN now has a total of eight music videos with over 100 million views. These include the music videos for “Don’t Wanna Cry” and “Super” with over 200 million views, as well as “MAESTRO,” “Clap,” “Very NICE,” “Left & Right,” “HOT,” and “Rock with you,” which have all surpassed 100 million views.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN has been receiving enthusiastic responses to their fifth full-length album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY,’ released last month. The album set the highest first-week sales record (album sales in the first week after release) among K-pop albums released this year, with 2.52 million copies sold. It also entered the Billboard 200, the main US album chart, at a tie for its highest rank of 2nd place, charting for three consecutive weeks.
