Former AB6IX Member Lim Young-min’s Exclusive Contract with Brand New Music Ends [Official]

Lim Young-min, a former member of the group AB6IX, has ended his exclusive contract with Brand New Music.

On June 26th, Brand New Music announced, “The exclusive contract with our artist Lim Young-min has been terminated.” The agency continued, “After in-depth discussions regarding future activities, both our company and Lim Young-min mutually agreed to end the exclusive contract.”

Previously, in 2020, Lim Young-min was caught driving under the influence after drinking with acquaintances and driving his car to his accommodation. He received a license revocation and suspended all activities, ultimately leaving the group. He then enlisted for active duty in November 2020 and was discharged in 2021.

Following his military service, he transitioned to a solo artist, releasing his first EP ‘ROOM’ in August 2023. He recently released his third EP ‘On My Way’ and participated in ‘K-Pop Week in Hongdae’ last month.
