Boy group Big Ocean is launching their first unit, ‘Big Ocean JJ.’

On June 1st, their agency, Parastar Entertainment, announced, “Big Ocean’s first unit, ‘Big Ocean JJ,’ featuring members PJ and Jiseok, will release their new song ‘BUCKET HAT’ through various music sites on June 9th at 6 PM (Korean time).” The agency also announced, “The music video and stage performance of ‘BUCKET HAT’ will be unveiled for the first time at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) ‘AI for Good’ General Assembly, which will be held in Geneva, Switzerland on June 9th,” raising anticipation.

‘BUCKET HAT’ is a song with a performance-focused structure, blending the sounds and groove of the 2000s with a playful and energetic vibe. It playfully captures the thrill of living in the moment, the atmosphere of the night, and a lighthearted flirtation.

Big Ocean has introduced a new fashion concept, combining the street-style representative bucket hat with traditional Korean *gonryongpo* (royal dragon robe) patterns as their main visual. They’ve added to the listening and viewing experience with flamboyant performances utilizing the bucket hat and a dynamic exchange of “sign language rap” as their signature performance. Meanwhile, Big Ocean is the only K-pop artist scheduled to attend the ‘Anime Friends 2025’ festival in São Paulo, Brazil on June 3rd.

Big Ocean will continue their 2nd European tour ‘Underwater’ on June 11th in Warsaw, Poland, June 12th in Copenhagen, Denmark, June 14th in Lille, France, June 17th in Athens, Greece, and June 19th in Mainz, Germany, before continuing with a U.S. tour spanning seven cities, including Minneapolis on June 27th, Las Vegas on June 29th, Kansas City on June 31st, New York on August 1st, Washington D.C. on August 7th, Raleigh on August 9th, and Atlanta on August 10th.
