‘Lee Soo-man’s girl group’ A20 MAY has set a new record on the U.S. Mediabase TOP 40 chart. As of June 29th (local time), A2O MAY (CHENYU SHIJIE QUCHANG MICHE KAT) ranked 35th on the Mediabase chart, the U.S. mainstream radio chart, with their new song ‘BOSS,’ entering the TOP 40 and achieving another milestone. This marks A2O MAY’s second consecutive entry on the Mediabase TOP 40 chart, setting a new benchmark.

Previously, A2O MAY ranked 39th on the U.S. Mediabase TOP 40 chart with their debut song ‘Under My Skin (A2O),’ a first for a girl group comprised entirely of Chinese members. They have now broken their own record with ‘BOSS.’ This consecutive chart entry by a girl group consisting solely of Chinese members is unprecedented in the history of the Mediabase TOP 40 chart and a remarkable achievement in global pop history.

The ‘Mediabase TOP 40 chart’ ranks songs based on actual airplay data from over 180 major radio stations across the U.S. and Canada, serving as a representative chart for gauging the trends in the North American popular music market. It is particularly meaningful as Mediabase data is used to calculate the Radio Songs chart, a component of the Billboard HOT 100 chart. A2O MAY’s consecutive hits are an exceptional achievement for a rookie group still in the early stages of their career. Furthermore, ‘BOSS’ has surpassed 30 million views on YouTube, demonstrating the enthusiastic response from global fans, and topped the new song chart (新歌榜, Xinge Bang) on QQ Music, one of China’s largest music platforms, garnering significant attention from local fans. Riding this momentum, A2O MAY recently appeared on CCTV’s music program ‘China Music TOP Chart (中?音?TOP榜),’ performing ‘BOSS’ and proving their solid live performance skills as a performance-based artist.

A2O MAY is creating a new trend in the global music market under the production of Lee Soo-man, the K-POP founder, chief producer, and visionary leader. As a team representing ‘Zalpha Pop,’ a new genre fusing the sensibilities of Generation Z and Generation Alpha, they are attracting attention with the diverse charms and energetic performances of their five members.

A2O MAY is establishing themselves as a new key player changing the landscape of the global music industry, going beyond being a simple newcomer. Notably, they successfully completed their first U.S. live performance at the 102.7 KIIS FM ‘Wango Tango’ festival in May, sharing the stage with world-renowned artists such as Doja Cat, David Guetta, Meghan Trainor, and Gwen Stefani.
