BLACKPINK has announced their triumphant return with a spectacular performance, showcasing their status as a ‘world-class artist’ at the peak of their career. The group captivated audiences with their overwhelming live performances, unmatched stage presence, and amplified synergy, demonstrating their power at every moment.
According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK successfully concluded their ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN GOYANG’ at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on May 5th and 6th. This marked the first time a K-pop girl group has performed at the Goyang Sports Complex, and they set a new record by attracting a total of 78,000 fans – the largest audience ever for a K-pop artist at the venue.
Emerging amidst the explosive cheers of fans, BLACKPINK opened the concert with powerful performances of “Kill This Love” and “Pink Venom,” radiating charisma. They then seamlessly transitioned into a medley of hit songs including “How You Like That,” “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” and “Shut Down,” instantly igniting the atmosphere.
The solo stages, each showcasing the members’ distinct musical colors spanning ballad, hip-hop, and pop, provided dynamic entertainment. Notably, the debut performance of their new song “JUMP” was a highlight, with the members unleashing explosive energy over a fast-paced beat, driving the audience into a frenzy.
The concert production, incorporating the expertise of world-class staff, satisfied all five senses. The powerful live band sound and diverse variations added to BLACKPINK’s music sent shivers down the spine, while the synchronized choreography performed with a large group of dancers maximized the energy and adrenaline of the show.
Furthermore, a spectacular fireworks display synchronized with the beat, along with ever-changing, visually stunning graphics, lighting, and laser effects, provided an immersive experience. A large-scale drone show depicting BLACKPINK’s album covers added to the festive atmosphere.
As a meaningful reunion with fans after a year and ten months, the members shared a particularly warm connection with the audience. They expressed their gratitude, saying, “We are honored and happy to be able to reunite as a full group at a stadium. This is a dream come true, and it’s all thanks to our BLINKs (fandom name).”
Having successfully kicked off their world tour with the Gyeonggi-do concert, BLACKPINK will head to Los Angeles on December 12th and 13th. They will continue to perform at stadium-level venues in cities including Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. In addition, they are planning to release their new song “JUMP.”
