Super Junior Fires a Successful Signal for Their 20th Anniversary Comeback
Super Junior (under SM Entertainment) has kicked off their 20th anniversary comeback with a strong start.
On July 8, Super Junior held a countdown live broadcast and an online showcase to commemorate the release of their 12th full-length album ‘Super Junior25’, spending a meaningful comeback day connecting with global fans across multiple platforms.
During the showcase, they unveiled for the first time performances of their title track “Express Mode”, along with the tracks “Haircut” and “Stuck With You” (우리의 꽃말). The members also shared honest and heartfelt interviews centered around keywords essential to their journey—such as their debut, first music show win, and their fan club E.L.F.—earning positive feedback from fans.
Styled like a 20th anniversary awards ceremony, the showcase included touching tributes to “U”, the song that marked Super Junior’s beginnings, and “Sorry, Sorry”, the track that solidified their identity as a group. The event also featured fun segments like the “Super Debate”, a 20th-anniversary-themed balance game that had fans laughing.
With ‘Super Junior25’, the group achieved No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in 17 regions around the world, including Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. The album also topped China’s QQ Music and KuGou Music digital album sales charts, Korea’s Bugs real-time chart, and the Hanteo Daily Chart—proving Super Junior's continued popularity both at home and abroad.
Meanwhile, Super Junior is set to appear on SBS PowerFM’s “Cultwo Show” on July 9, where they will showcase their trademark wit and continue their powerful comeback promotions.
