On July 22 at 6 PM (JST), their agency KQ Entertainment unveiled a teaser image for ATEEZ’s upcoming 2nd full-length Japanese album, Ashes to Light, via the group’s official social media channels, announcing its release for September 17.
The teaser image features the members dressed in all-black outfits against a clean white background, staring directly into the camera. Their charismatic gazes and distinct visuals as eight individual members come together to create a luxurious and striking impression, heightening anticipation among fans.
Another teaser image shows the opposite contrast: ATEEZ dressed in all-white outfits against a black background. The use of opposing color schemes and their dramatic contrast has further fueled excitement for the upcoming album, with fans captivated by the group’s dual concepts and flawless visual synergy.
This new full album marks ATEEZ’s first full-length Japanese release in approximately four and a half years, following their debut Japanese album Into the A to Z in March 2021. The long-awaited return has already generated explosive reactions from local fans.
The album title Ashes to Light conveys the message of “new hope rising from hardship.” It will feature a total of nine tracks, including re-recorded versions of:
-
“NOT OKAY” (from their 3rd Japanese single),
-
“Days,”
-
“Birthday” (from their 4th Japanese single),
-
and “Forevermore,”
alongside five new tracks.
Just ahead of the album’s release, ATEEZ will meet fans through the 2025 World Tour 'IN YOUR FANTASY' with a three-day concert series in Saitama starting September 13, followed by performances in Nagoya on September 20–21 and Kobe on October 22–23.
The group is expected to showcase their signature intense and captivating performances during their Japan concerts, raising expectations for the new album even further. As the album drops in the middle of the tour, fans are also anticipating whether the new songs will be performed live for the first time during the shows.
A special album showcase is also scheduled for release day, September 17, where ATEEZ will present stages featuring new tracks and engage fans through various events — promising a feast for both the eyes and ears of their Japanese audience.
