Red Velvet’s Wendy is set to make her solo comeback this September.

On July 24, her new agency ASCEND announced, “Wendy will be making a comeback in September. As it’s her first solo return in a while, she’s working hard on preparations, so we ask for your support and interest.”

This will be her first new solo release in approximately a year and six months, following the release of her second mini album “Wish You Hell” in March last year. It will also mark her first release since signing an exclusive contract with ASCEND in April after parting ways with SM Entertainment, drawing heightened attention from fans.

At the time of “Wish You Hell”’s release, Wendy achieved impressive results globally, topping iTunes Top Albums charts in 21 countries and securing No. 1 on China’s QQ Music Digital Album Sales chart.

Beyond music, Wendy continues to shine as a versatile entertainer, actively participating in variety shows and radio. On KBS 2TV’s music variety show “Delivery Music: Wherever You Go”, she received praise for her stable live vocals. She also showcased her hosting skills on her YouTube content series “Today’s Wendy.”

Wendy debuted as a member of Red Velvet in 2014 and has received immense love for hit songs such as “Ice Cream Cake,” “Red Flavor,” “Psycho,” and “Cosmic.”
