Singer Lim Young-woong has achieved a massive milestone, surpassing 12.1 billion cumulative streams on Melon.
As of August 4, Lim Young-woong's total cumulative streams on South Korea’s major music platform Melon have exceeded 12.1 billion, reaching 12,103,170,000 streams. Following his 12 billion milestone on July 13, Lim added another 100 million streams in just 23 days, setting a new record.
Back in January 2023, Lim was inducted into Melon's “Hall of Fame” as a member of the "Gold Club," which includes artists with over 5 billion but under 10 billion cumulative streams.
On June 18, 2024, Lim crossed the 10 billion mark and joined the elite "Diamond Club," placing him shoulder to shoulder with global top group BTS. He holds the record as the No.1 solo artist on the platform. This historic achievement was made possible thanks to the unwavering love and support of his loyal fanbase, Hero Era (영웅시대), which has been instrumental in reaching the 12.1 billion milestone.
Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong is set to release his second full-length album IM HERO 2 on August 29 — his first regular album in 3 years and 2 months. He will also return to TV on August 26 through SBS’s new variety show Island Boy Hero (섬총각 영웅). Additionally, he will appear in KBS 2TV’s Immortal Songs – Lim Young-woong and Friends (working title), airing in two parts on August 30 and September 6.
In October, Lim will embark on his 2025 national tour, starting in Incheon from October 17 to 19. He will then perform in Daegu and Seoul in November, Gwangju in December, and Daejeon in January 2026. Concerts in Seoul and Busan are also scheduled for January and February next year, with ticket sale dates to be announced later.
