BTS’s Jungkook Sets New Spotify Records with “Seven” and GOLDEN as First Asian Solo Artist to Chart for 107 and 91 Weeks

BTS’s Jungkook continues his record-breaking streak on Spotify, further proving his global popularity.

His first solo debut single “Seven,” released in July 2023, ranked 70th on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for the period of July 25–31. The track has now remained on the chart for 107 consecutive weeks, setting a historic record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist.

Jungkook’s first solo album GOLDEN, released in November 2023, ranked 54th on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart for the same period, marking 91 consecutive weeks on the chart — also the first and longest-running record for an album by an Asian solo artist.

From July 25–31, Jungkook ranked 175th on Spotify’s Weekly Top Artists Global chart, bringing his career total to 113 weeks on the list.

As of August 7 (KST), “Seven” surpassed 2.467 billion streams, becoming the first song by an Asian artist to reach this milestone, while GOLDEN exceeded 5.9 billion cumulative streams — a first for an album by an Asian soloist.

On his personal Spotify profile, Jungkook has achieved 9.3 billion cumulative streams across all credited tracks, setting records as both the fastest Asian artist and the first K-pop soloist to do so. His monthly listeners remain steady at around 17.5 million, and his account recently became the fastest among all Asian artists to reach 18.1 million followers.
