BigHit’s New Boy Group CORTIS to Hold 24-Hour YouTube Event with Fans on August 10
Rookie boy group CORTIS (Martin, James, Joohoon, Sunghyun, Geonho) from BigHit Music is launching a unique event ahead of their debut.
Starting at midnight on August 10, CORTIS will host a 24-hour premiere on the HYBE Labels YouTube channel, filling the entire day with exclusive content. Throughout the day, they will release new videos by time slot, including hints about their upcoming debut activities and a segment where the members answer viewers’ questions. As this promotion can only be experienced in real time, it offers a special opportunity for fans.
With detailed information about the five members still under wraps, the photos and videos revealed on August 10 are expected to serve as key clues about the group. Previously, CORTIS made a splash by unveiling their team name through a self-produced short-form video, showcasing their fresh and creative approach from the start. Anticipation is high to see what inventive content they will present to fans next.
CORTIS is also running a fun promotion on the global short-form video platform TikTok. Searching “CORTIS” on TikTok reveals hints related to the music videos of tracks from their debut album. This Easter egg-style event began on August 7 without prior notice. After the group name announcement, many users began searching for them, spreading the word about the event and drawing significant attention on social media.
CORTIS will officially debut on August 18. All members are in their teens, and the group describes itself as a “young creator crew” that co-produces their own music, choreography, and videos. As the first new boy group from BigHit Music in six years — following BTS in 2013 and TXT in 2019 — they are already attracting considerable interest from K-pop fans worldwide.
